Coaches

Scott Ellis

LEVEL 2

I started playing badminton when I was around 8 years old, representing the county at 12 and the country at 14. I was lucky enough to play throughout the UK and Europe winning a number of tournaments.  They were good times, I trained hard and played hard.

Berkshire county badminton is my passion and before going into semi-retirement at the ag of 40 I collected over 200 first team caps for Berkshire, winning 13 singles, 16 doubles and 8 mixed doubles Berkshire Restricted titles.

My 4 children also play this wonderful sport and have and continue to train and to travel all over the UK representing Berkshire and playing Badminton England circuit tournaments.

I started coaching simply because I just wanted to give something back and pass something on about a sport that has been very good to me these past 40 years.

I am also currently the Chair of Berkshire County Badminton Association (BCBA).

The Twins

We are Jemima and Gideon, we help out on all sessions when we are not travelling around the country playing tournaments or representing Berkshire County at matches and events. We have been playing and training for many years and can relate to what the players at the club are going through as they start to play and improve.  We love assisting, passing on some knowledge, feeding shuttles to the players and providing competitive play if the players are up for a challenge.
